Another ALSEY PACEALSEY was the name of the father of CHRISTOPHER STUMP PACEbut definitely not the same ALSEY
b. 1790 NC,
d. aft 1880 probably Johnston Co NC This Alsey was a son of STEPHEN PACE b. abt. 1757 who married a Native American and STEPHEN was a son of JOHN PACE b. abt. 1725 who m. SARAH BURGH.
This is the first case of a Pace/Dean marriage in America, Here is the really interesting fact:
One of the descendants of JAMES DEAN PACE and it turns out that his DNA matches exactly the DNA of two descendants of John Pace and Sarah Burgh, which also matches my DNA results. This means that James Dean Pace is quite closely related to the Alsey/Alsa Pace who married Cassandra Dean and also, as I have long suspected, is closely related to my direct ancestor Alsey Pace who married Sally Stump. The exact relationship of these people is yet to be determined. Any information on the Deans of Johnston Co, NC, circa 1800 may be very helpful. Gordon W. Pace
Here is the really interesting fact: One of the descendants of James Dean Pace joined the PACE DNA Project (kit no. 7811, see results at PSA website) and it turns out that his DNA matches exactly the DNA of two descendants of John Pace and Sarah Burgh, which also matches my DNA results. This means that James Dean Pace is quite closely related to the Alsey/Alsa Pace who married Cassandra Dean - Gordon W. Pace 1/11/05 PACE-L |
