It is well known that Richard Pace II, m. Mary Baker, had a son named John b. abt 1668 who married an Elizabeth (surname unknown) and had 7 children as follows: John, Jr., Francis, Elizabeth, Mary, Ann, William and George. 4 JOHN PACE born abt 1668 + ELIZABETH 5 JOHN, Jr., 5 FRANCIS 5 ELIZABETH 5 MARY 5 ANN 5 WILLIAM 5 GEORGE + PATIENCE HOWELL 6 WILLIAM PACE Sr. born 1746-50 + SICELY WALKER

The John Pace who married Sarah Burgh (or Pope) was a son of Richard Pace & Sarah Woodliefe. This Richard's other sons, besides John and Francis, were Richard b abt 1713 and George b abt 1715. The Pace Society in their early Bulletins showed Elizabeth Lowe as the wife of the above John Pace m. Elizabeth Unknown. This is repeated in the recent book, Pace Society Bulletins, Vol 1, pg 48, but it appears to be just speculation as no evidence is given. Bruce Howard's new book, in Chapter 8, has a long discussion on JAMES PACE and his wife ELIZABETH LOWE which has convinced me that Elizabeth Lowe actually married JOHN's brother JAMES PACE. Gordon W.
